IS MY HOUSEHOLD ELIGIBLE?

Only one Lifeline benefit is available per household. A household is defined, for purposes of the Lifeline program, as any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address and share income and expenses. The benefit is non-transferrable and is limited to one service provider.

DO I QUALIFY?

In order to participate in the Lifeline program, consumers must either have an income that is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or participate in one of the following assistance programs:

  • Medicaid
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)
  • Veteran Pension and Survivors Benefit
  • Tribal Administered Programs for customers living on federally-recognized Tribal lands:
    ° Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
    ° Tribally-Administered Temporary Assistance of Needy Families
    ° Tribal Head Start (must meet the income qualifying standard)
    ° Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations
