Privacy
Policy
At
TecInfo, your privacy is of great concern to us. The
following policy explains how we protect your privacy
within our web site, and in some cases, how we use
the information you provide to better serve you:
We
do not disclose any personal or billing information
provided to us by you or your company, such as contact
or account information. Any information collected via
our web site, such as surveys, questionnaires, or general
feedback, is kept private and used to help us improve
the quality of service we provide our customers.
Customers
are asked to provide specific personal information
when they sign up for our Internet services, including
name, address, telephone number, and billing information
(such as a credit card number or bank account).
The personal information collected from customers
during the on-line registration process is used
to manage each user’s account. This information
is not shared with third parties. In certain situations,
TecInfo may be required by law enforcement or judicial
authorities to provide personal information to
appropriate governmental authorities. We will disclose
personal information upon the receipt of a court
order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement
investigation. TecInfo fully cooperates with law
enforcement agencies in identifying those who use
our services for illegal activities. We reserve
the right to report to law enforcement agencies
any activities that we in good faith believe to
be unlawful.
When
TecInfo receives e-mail inquiries, the return e-mail
address is used to answer the inquiry. These addresses
are not used for any other purpose and are not
shared with outside parties.
To
prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security,
and ensure the correct use of information, TecInfo
have established the appropriate physical, electronic,
and managerial procedures to protect and secure
the information we collect on-line.
Spam
TecInfo
provides to business and consumer users several information
technology related services, including such service
as Internet access, various electronic mail (e-mail)
packages and services, World Wide Web website hosting
arrangements, and other on-line and Internet-related
services.
It
is contrary to TecInfo policy for any user of any
of these services to effect or participate in any
of the following activities through a TecInfo-provided
service:
To
post ten (10) or more messages similar in content
to Usenet or other newsgroups, forums, e-mail mailing
lists or other similar groups or lists.
To
post to any Usenet or other newsgroup, forum, e-mail
mailing list or other similar group or list articles
which are off-topic according to the charter or
other owner-published FAQ or description of the
group or list.
To
send unsolicited e-mailings to more than twenty-five
(25) e-mail users, if such unsolicited e-mailings
could reasonably be expected to provoke complaints.
To
falsify user information provided to TecInfo or
to other users of the service in connection with
use of a TecInfo service.
To
engage in any of the foregoing activities by using
the service of another provider, but channeling
such activities through a TecInfo account, re-mailer,
or otherwise through a TecInfo service or using
a TecInfo account as a maildrop for responses or
otherwise using the services of another provider
for the purpose of facilitating the foregoing activities
if such use of another party’s service could
reasonably reasonably be expected to adversely
affect a TecInfo service.
TecInfo
considers the above practices to constitute abuse
of our service and of the recipients of such unsolicited
mailings and/or postings, who often bear the expense.
Therefore, TecInfo’s terms and conditions
of service prohibit these practices. Engaging in
one or more of these practices will result in termination
of the offender’s account and/or access to
TecInfo’s services. In addition, TecInfo
reserves the right, where feasible, to implement
technical mechanisms which block multiple postings
as described above before they are forwarded or
otherwise sent to their intended recipients.
This policy addresses only the kinds of network
abuse specifically enumerated above. In addition
to these activities, TecInfo’s terms and
conditions of service also prohibit other forms
of abuse such as harassment and
the posting of illegal or unlawful materials, and TecInfo will respond
as appropriate to these other activities as well.
Nothing
contained in this policy shall be construed to
limit TecInfo’s actions or remedies in any
way ith respect to any of the foregoing activities,
and TecInfo reserves the right to take any and
all additional actions it may deem appropriate
with respect to such activities, including without
limitation taking action to recover the costs and
expenses of identifying offenders and removing
them from the TecInfo service, and levying cancellation
charges to cover TecInfo’s costs in the event
of disconnection of access for the causes outlined
above. In addition, TecInfo reserves at all times
all rights and remedies available to it with respect
to such activities at law or in equity.
